He earned his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree and completed his initial endodontic training in Egypt before relocating to the United States, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, CA.

After practicing general dentistry in Northern California for seven years, Dr. Elkhatieb returned to his alma mater to pursue advanced specialty training in Endodontics. He completed his postgraduate Endodontics residency at University of the Pacific, earning a Master of Science in Dentistry and serving as Chief Resident.

During his residency, Dr. Elkhatieb received extensive training in complex nonsurgical and surgical endodontic procedures, including root canal treatments, apicoectomies, root amputations, intentional replantations, surgical repair of resorptive defects and surgical extractions with bone grafting and guided tissue regeneration.

Dr. Elkhatieb is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, the highest level of board certification in the specialty. He also serves as a part-time Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Endodontics at the University of the Pacific and holds multiple leadership roles within the American Dental Association, California Dental Association and local dental societies.

Dedicated to providing exceptional, patient-centered care, Dr. Elkhatieb works closely with referring dentists to ensure seamless communication, collaborative treatment planning and outstanding outcomes. He is an active member of the American Association of Endodontists (AAE) and remains committed to lifelong learning, teaching and service.

Outside of the office, Dr. Elkhatieb enjoys traveling, hiking, reading and spending time with his family.
